Southern Plant Lists brings together a variety of primary source documents containing a wealth of detail drawn from Southern garden and nursery records. The Southern Garden History Society and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation jointly compiled Southern Plant Lists, which includes information from as early as 1734 and as late as 1931. Click here.
The Supplement to the Southern Plant Lists offers scholars, historians, and garden enthusiasts the opportunity to discover and review primary source documents regarding the introduction and cultivation of species and varieties in southern gardens. The Society welcomes further contributions, both transcribed or in their original form as PDF files.
